Backed by over 30 years of life experience, skills, training, and expertise in working with people, communication, and change. We are not a charity or non-profit organisation. All sessions for all services are self-funded - proudly professional, extending to those near and far - "Yes, and you too."

Our kaupapa is simple: people shouldn't have to fight for support. At Whanganui Counselling Services, we remove unnecessary hoops, waitlists, and barriers so you can access qualified, professional counselling when you need it - not months later. Built with integrity, determination, and genuine care - to give of our best to our clients; we're here to make counselling straightforward, respectful, and human. Be seen.

We want people to come through our door and feel at home, knowing they are in the right place. I was reminded recently of the lengthy waitlists for a person to see a counsellor, psychologist, or a helping professional. It is not a task I take lightly. I was tapped on the shoulder, tried to ignore it. Everything fell into place and kept aligning. The more I resisted, the more it kept coming. I couldn't stop it. We are here - Whanganui Counselling Services.

The service we provide is for Whanganui and all surrounding districts, near and far. Nau mai haere mai. It is our goal at Whanganui Counselling Services to provide a space where you can know, see, and speak your truth with confidence.
